Fallout Shelter expected to hit Android in August
Keep in mind that Bethesda did say that Fallout Shelfter would arrive on Android 2 months after the iOS version, so end of August would still fit within that time frame. “It is coming along nice, and should be out next month”, he said when asked on Twitter.
When Fallout 4 was announced by Bethesda, not only did the gaming community rejoice for the Fallout 4 console game, but they also celebrated the surprise release of Fallout Shelter, a Fallout-spinoff game for mobile users. Hines was lately asked when the strategy game will release for Android devices.
The game is basically a management simulator – the player comes into the familiar post-apocalyptic world of Fallout as an overseer of a vault filled with some of the last people on earth. Shortly after its announcement, the game shot up to the #1 downloaded app on iTunes. Android is growing at a fast rate however, with over one billion users, meaning Bethesda can not ignore it.
Fallout Shelter shot to number one in the App Store when it was released.
That has pleased Todd Howard so far.
“We’re very pleased. Fallout Shelter is doing amazingly well, with no real buildup”. After all, it was only a fortnight ago that Bethesda’s Twitter account claimed that the port was still “a few months” out, so news of it launching in August – even if it isn’t quite set in stone – is good news indeed. Preston Garvey makes his appearance in “Fallout Shelter” as an unlockable character, armed with his weapon, the laser musket.
Fallout 4 is coming to Xbox One, PS4 and PC on November 10.
