Fallout Shelter Now Available to Download on Android
You can download Fallout Shelter on Android directly via this link. Eventually you’ll need to send some of your Dwellers out into the wasteland to gather supplies and defend the vault from raiders trying to steal yours.
The game is available for free and offers some in-app purchases, but thankfully, these are not limiting the gameplay in any way.
The Fallout spinoff mobile game, Fallout Shelter, marks a new remarkable milestone for the critically acclaimed game developer Bethesda Softworks as it officially releases on Android and hits Google Play Store tomorrow, August 13.
While Fallout Shelter is available now on the Google Play Store in the U.S. (for us at least), Bethesda’s VP of PR and Marketing Pete Hines did say it’s a rolling launch, meaning it won’t be available in all areas at once. As leader, it’s up to you to create a bright future, building a variety of modern-day rooms that help ensure your community not only survives, but thrives underground. You can grow your population as new people wander up to the door or by placing two vault dwellers in the lounge area where they will eventually make a baby. (If you haven’t armed your Vault Dwellers yet, now’s the time!). This probably doesn’t come as much of a surprise given that Skyrim worked the same way. Unfortunately, we may not know the specific details for a few more weeks.
