Family claims escaped snake killed grandmother at Disney’s Animal Kingdom
The boy was allegedly injured during his visit when a snake fell out of a tree at the Walt Disney World theme park and bit him.
Disney says the snake was a wild, non-venomous snake and not part of the park’s collection.
According to Morgan, the family claims that the snake escaped at the park and entered an area reserved for the general public.
Disney said the boy was given a Band-Aid by the park nurse and that he and his family then returned to the park.
But Disney spokeswoman Jacquee Wahler says the allegations fabricate what had actually happened.
Morgan says that the grandmother saw the snake bite the boy, went into cardiac arrest and died a short time later.
According to Morgan, what was serious was the woman’s reaction to seeing her great grandson bitten by a snake.
Morgan has scheduled a news conference for Friday morning where more details of the lawsuit are expected to be released. He says she suffered breathing problems and died two days later of a heart attack at a hospital.
So, this means Disney World has random snakes that sneak in the park and hang out in the trees, waiting for unsuspecting victims to walk by?
A family’s October 2014 trip to Disney’s Animal Kingdom turned out to be anything but magical, an Orlando attorney alleges.
