Famous DJ decides against bringing horse to gig
After David Guetta’s set in Ibiza, where he brought a live horse on stage, many were upset.
David Guetta has decided against bringing a horse to club Pacha in Ibiza after public outcry from animal lovers, the New York Post reported.
Guetta has allegedly rented the horse from a local stable to use in his show every Thursday of his residency at the club, for the entire summer season – but a fan-created petition has now been launched, denouncing the DJ.
The petition author writes: “The horse has to enter the big PACHA hall at 4am in the morning, where a huge crowd of people, drunken and drugged, screaming and sweating, are celebrating their party night. My attention was brought to this case, because a visitor of the show contacted me because she observed that the horse was extremely stressed”.
Guetta hosts his weekly “F–k Me I’m Famous” parties there.
The anonymous author also claims a club insider told him that the horse has already injured its back and two legs, but that has yet to be confirmed.
It has garnered nearly 10,000 signatures, and was backed by fellow DJ Deadmau5.
“A horse appeared for three minutes – owned by a vet – and with full ear protection and security at the opening”, the rep said. “The club is too busy now”.
