Fandango Already Sold More ‘Force Awakens’ Tickets Than Any Other Movie… Ever…
The countdown is on for Thursday night’s premiere of “Star Wars: The Force Awakens”.
“Star Wars” mega-fans are taking part in an 18-hour marathon viewing of all six films in the franchise ahead of advance screenings of the new film tonight.
Tickets to the marathon, which cost $75, sold out in less than 24 hours, and ticket sales for “The Force Awakens” were stellar. Another questioner asked what were the strangest Star Wars merchandising items they had seen, and Fisher said: “Shampoo bottle, because you can twist off your head” – before pointing out a Princess Leia strain of marijuana was available.
This is the seventh installment of the blockbuster franchise, and it’s expected to be possibly one of the most successful and record-breaking movies of the saga.
