FanDuel bans employees from gambling amid huge scandal
A fantasy sports player has sued DraftKings and FanDuel, claiming that he and other players were hurt because employees of the two companies used inside information to gain an edge over other players.
Congress recently requested a hearing to explore the relationship between fantasy sports and gambling.
“You’re going to have players hit and miss each week”. He thinks his e-sports company with the algorithms he’s built for overseas betting would put him in the driver’s seat.
The companies have said there is no evidence the employee in question did anything wrong.
The DraftKings employee, a midlevel content manager, won $350,000 on FanDuel the same week.

Today a fantasy footballer out of Kentucky, Adam Johnson, filed a class action lawsuit in Manhattan federal court against both sites because employees from those organizations could compete in competitions run by the other.

That change could be forced on the industry, which argues it does not need to be regulated like gambling.
New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman announced this week his office has launched a probe into the practices of the two services. “We have reached out and discussed this matter with them”.
“They were literally playing against the house, and not surprisingly the house made out pretty well in this instance”, she said.
Even so, the crisis comes at a particularly bad time for the companies.
This isn’t fantasy as usual. But not all their customers are cutting off their business.
DraftKings said in a statement: DraftKings has been conducting a thorough investigation, including examining records of internal communications and access to our database, interviewing our employees, and sharing information regarding the incident with FanDuel.
FanDuel has received a lot of support from players and investors, he says.
