Fans at Texans-Colts game brawl through the stands
Arian Foster moved the Houston offense easily – only to have Ryan Mallett throw a rocket pass on a five-yard in.
He also said he felt it after the game, catching up with his former teammates.
The victory marked the 16th straight division win for the Colts. Wade Phillips replaced Kubiak on the sideline, but the Texans still lost their sixth straight.
The scene: Leading 13-10 at the start of the third quarter, the Colts took over at their own 44-yard line following a 50-yard return from Griff Whalen.
Luck added: “What a warrior”. Real old. He’s 40, which is ancient for an National Football League quarterback.
Then, right before the half ended, Hoyer threw a Hail Mary and the Colts, despite having six players surrounding rookie Jaelen Strong, did nothing to defend him as he pulled in the touchdown. It was the Colts’ best offensive performance since Reggie Wayne injured his knee in October.
The Indianapolis Star reported that the Colts quarterback was so sick that he had to take IVs Sunday through Wednesday and twice on Thursday.
For all the woes on offense, at least they have a legitimate wide receiver in DeAndre Hopkins.
QUARTERBACK CAROUSEL: Mallett got the wind thumped out of him on an illicit hit halfway during that time quarter and was supplanted by Hoyer. In Luck’s absence, Matt has guided the Indianapolis Colts to their second consecutive victory. “It was so easy; I was afraid I was going to miss it”, Adams said of his second interception. Hilton had a career-best 233 yards receiving.
As the late Yogi Berra said, it’s getting late early. By making his 209th appearance and winning for the 142nd time in Indy, Wayne broke both of Peyton Manning’s records. The two men that you’ll see in this video brawled through the stands at last night’s game. He completed 18-of-29 passes for 213 yards and two touchdowns. Wayne’s 80-yard catch allowed Luck to break Manning’s single-season franchise record for yards passing. Houston fell to 1-4 and are now two games back in the AFC South, where a win could have put them tied for first place. The Colts finally went above.
Bouye. Matt Hasselbeck, who wound up starting the game despite illness due to Andrew Luck’s ongoing shoulder issues, was able to find the previously mentioned Johnson twice on the drive, once on a 23 yard reception to get them into the red zone, and then on a four yard touchdown reception. NFL Network’s Stacey Dales reported before the game that Hasselbeck wasn’t sure if he could play four quarters because of a bacterial infection.
On Thursday, the 40-year-old Hasselbeck again did not commit a turnover, guided the Colts to a 13-point lead in the first half and kept them ahead the entire game with solid, methodical drives.
