Fans can look forward to two more seasons of ‘Game of Thrones’

Overall, Game of Thrones viewing figures are up 15% over the a year ago for HBO, hitting 23.3 million viewers before the finale. The finale of Season 6, Winds of Winter, revealed his mother is actually Lyanna Stark, but an infographic on the Making Game of Thrones blog has more information for us.

She theorises that Lyanna whispers to Ned, “His name is Jaehaerys”.

The HBO graphic marks Rhaegar Targaryen as Jon Snow’s father. It was a pretty massive bombshell in an episode that hardly let up for a second. Those last images from the [season six finale] showed that.

One little problem; neither Jon nor Dany knows this as he musters his forces to take on the Night King and the White Walkers and she sails her armada to Westeros. We also see who killed whom, and who abducted whom.

Rhaegar was the brother of Daenarys and Viserys and the son of Aerys, the “Mad King”. He kidnapped Lyanna Stark after falling in love with her – which Robert Baratheon (Cersei’s husband from season one) who was meant to marry her. With Lyanna and Rhaegar as parents, Snow has greater claim on the Iron Throne.
