Fans chase Israeli team from field at friendly in Bulgaria
After a heavy tackle in stoppage time from an Ashdod player, tempers boiled over.
That led to the incredible sight of the entire Israeli team being chased into the stands and out of the ground.
As CSKA players rounded on the offender, a camera captured incensed fans piling out of the stands and onto the pitch, with bottles raining down on the Israeli team from the terraces.
CSKA players seemed to be trying to get the fans to stop, but the Ashdod players ran across the field to try and evade the mad mob.
Bulgarian soccer fans attacked Israeli players during an exhibition match in the country’s capital. Zrihen was the third Ashdod player to be sent off in the match, with Gadi Kinda being shown a red card in the 20th minute for complaining to the referee that he wasn’t officiating the match fairly.
CSKA fans are among the groups known for sometimes brutal action toward players or supporters of opposing teams.
This is the incredible moment dozens of football supporters invaded the pitch during a pre-season friendly in Bulgaria on Sunday.
