Farm Put Up Ads, Seeks Volunteers To Cuddle Baby Goats
Who wouldn’t want to hug goats?
The request for some extra goat snugglers comes after discovering that 90 baby goats, or kids, will be born this February.
A farm in Esmont, Virginia, specializing in fresh and aged cheese from goats and cows, is looking for volunteers to take on an important task: cuddling its newborn goats for warmth. “Beginning in early February we will need willing, caring volunteers to assist in bottle feeding infant goats, keeping the herd warm and dry and maintaining cleanliness of the equipment and pens”. Oh, and the babies are clothed in sweaters to keep them warm. One farm worker told station WVIR volunteers would also get to learn something.
All of the snuggling shifts are now filled but in response to the enthusiasm of wannabe helpers, Caromont Farm is hosting a “Goatapalooza” in April to try and accommodate all desired goat-snugglers.
The position of expert goat cuddler will require you to love, feed and play with the baby animals after they’re born.
