Father beat Baby Chance before death
During the argument, Walsh allegedly struck Chance repeatedly.
Bury, 32, told police the couple was fighting the morning Chance died.
According to the document, Bury told Walsh, “You are going to break his f***ing neck”.
Joseph told Kristen he was going to bash Chance’s head into the ground during the argument.
“Joseph said during his interview that Kristen told him she did not want them to call 911 because she did not want to lose both people she loves in the same day”.
Dunford says it could mean authorities have more evidence of premeditation before the murder of Chance Walsh even if it’s just moments before.
After Chance’s death on September 21, Bury posted a picture of the baby on Facebook that made it appear as if he’s still alive.
Bury allegedly told Walsh that the smell was overwhelming and he had to do something with the body.
According to investigators, Baby Chance was killed on September 16. They then wrapped his body in blankets and put him in a closet until they later buried him in a shallow grave in Elliot Court in North Port, according to authorities. They were subsequently involved in a auto crash in South Carolina and told relatives three different accounts of what happened to their son, authorities said. When asked why they left Florida, Walsh allegedly said they were going to start a new life somewhere else.
The couple are longtime drug users, and the baby was reported missing by Bury’s mother, Sally Susino, on October 4 after she became anxious about her grandchild’s welfare, according to the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office in Florida. There, police found blood on the bed, the walls, door, mirror and light in the bathroom.
Bury has told investigators she and Walsh were arguing September 16 when he began hitting Chance.
His parents, Kristen Bury and Joseph Walsh, were arrested on Florida child abuse charges in South Carolina. DCF says the hospital did not report any concerns at the time. Bury and Walsh were arrested when their stories did not add up, but it wasn’t until Thursday that Chance’s body was found.
On Tuesday, 36-year-old Joseph Walsh was transported from the Jasper County Detention Center to the Sarasota, Fla. jail on charges of first-degree muder and child neglect.
Bury directed detectives to the gravesite, where a fragment of blue surgical gloves was found.
According to media reports, Department of Children and Families investigators have removed seven children from Walsh’s custody over the years.
