Father-of-the-bride goes missing after wedding in California

As people were packing to leave the mansion on Saturday afternoon, Prasad Moparti told a family member that he was going for a short walk, she said.

He said Moparti was considered a voluntary missing person but considering his lack of familiarity with the area and history of depression, the department used “all resources available in attempts to locate him”.

“I think he just went for a casual walk because one of my family members actually saw him walking down the road.”

The Sacramento Sheriff’s Department has launched a search for Prasad Moparti, scouring the Sacramento River by boat.

“It sounded like he was a little depressed and he wanted to go back to India”, she told KOVR.

She said her father danced at the party Friday and enjoyed the ceremony Saturday.

“For the last few days, he’s a little bit, I’m not sure what the reasons, but he’s not doing well”, Rajesh Gutta, Durga’s new husband, said.

Investigators believe that Moparti was suffering from “some kind of depression”, Turnbull said, adding that Moparti’s family had noticed some troubling behavioral indicators.

Ms Moparti is described as 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighing 180 pound, and last seen wearing traditional dress in brown/gold colored top with a cream-colored undergarment. According to local resident Ron Retlzlaff, who regularly fishes in the area, the space where Prasad Moparti disappeared can be unsafe terrain for those who do not know the landscape.

Now, the newlyweds are holding out hope that he is found safe.

Post-wedding plans are on hold as the search for Moparti continues.
