‘Fault in Our Stars’ Author John Green Signs Producing Deal
The best-selling YA novelist has become a source material sensation for the film industry with his stories being adapted back-to-back-to-back – first, there was “The Fault In Our Stars” which hit last year, and “Paper Towns” hits theaters this week.
The project was announced Tuesday, notes TheWrap.
Under the deal, Green will collaborate with Temple Hill Entertainment principals Wyck Godfrey and Marty Bowen on several projects. Consider that the $12 million The Fault in Our Stars grossed more than $304 million worldwide and the upcoming Paper Towns is tracking very strongly.
Fox 2000 Pictures, the 20th Century Fox subsidiary behind The Fault In Our Stars and Paper Towns, is making certain that no other John Green projects end up anywhere else in Hollywood.
While on their great adventure to find Margo (Cara Delevingne), Quentin (Nat Wolff) and his pals make a few stops at gas stations to fill up on gas and snacks; and Ansel is there to tend the station.
“We are elated to expand upon our already extraordinary relationship with John and feel honored to be able to enhance our creative horizons together”, said Fox 2000 president Elizabeth Gabler.
What this deal really means though is that in addition to Looking for Alaska, John Green fans might see some new content coming to the screen in the near future.
