‘Fear the Walking Dead’ live stream [AMC]: Watch online premiere episode 1
For those who are fans of “The Walking Dead”, this time frame is when Rick was hospitalized, deep in a coma in another part of the country, and unaware of what is taking place.
There were most likely mixed feelings among Breaking Bad fans once they learned that Better Call Saul was going to be created. Details about the other characters are yet to be seen in the show’s pilot episode. And we’re going to get to watch it all fall apart! But he knows it will be a tall order to replicate the ratings success of The Walking Dead, which ended its fifth season last March with an episode that was seen by more than 15 million viewers.
The series stars Kim Dickens as Madison, Cliff Curtis as Travis, Frank Dillane as Nick, Alycia Debnam-Carey as Alicia, Elizabeth Rodriguez as Liza, Mercedes Mason as Ofelia and Rubén Blades. The characters for this show will be different from the characters of the original series.
We start with the very early stages of the zombie apocalypse. As such, you can expect lots of character development in this series as the city of Los Angeles deals with a societal meltdown of epic proportions.
For those of you that are craving the blood and gore of The Walking Dead look no further. Nick’s battle with drug addiction, introduced in Episode 1, will be a major component of Fear The Walking Dead Season 1. He’s the first one of the central characters who encounters a member of the walking dead, but because of his addictions, no one believes him.
It already has a second season order from AMC, so “Fear the Walking Dead” might be the spinoff we didn’t need, but it’s looking like a spinoff – or companion series – that may be here awhile. If all goes well with Fear The Walking Dead, there could be a show on every week of the year, which is insane to think about but might be a strategy that works in the show’s favor.
While some may find it too slow in some ways, from what I’ve seen, the measured step-by-step approach instituted by showrunner Dave Erickson and his fellow EPs reflects a terrifying future being born – and I don’t just mean all those too easily mocked Sunset Junction hipsters. “I certainly didn’t when I read it. And when we filmed it, it just grew and grew and it got deeper and deeper”.
“Living in the same universe as The Walking Dead, Fear the Walking Dead is a gritty drama that explores the onset of the undead apocalypse through the lens of a fractured family”.
