But that doesn’t mean they can explain it. Nor, Chesley says, have authorities. The FBI is on the ground offering assistance to local officials as they need it, the president said.
Law enforcement officials are now scouring social media for clues about the attackers’ intentions and are also examining evidence recovered after the attack, including several mobile phones that appeared to have been intentionally damaged to prevent their exploitation.

The Farook family attorneys, David Chesley and Mohammad Abuershaid, said none of his relatives had any indication either Farook or his wife held extremist views.
