Fenerbahce in talks to sign Robin van Persie from Man United
Sky sources report that Manchester United forward Robin van Persie is to fly to Istanbul on Sunday and will be presented as a Fenerbahce player on Monday.
It is believed a fee of £4.7million has been agreed between the two clubs and the Dutch striker is set for a medical.
“I haven’t had the chance to talk with Robin van Persie yet”. Though his star was already bright thanks to his 96 goals in eight seasons at the Gunners, his time at Manchester United rose to Dutchman to stardom.
A departure for Van Persie would leave Manchester United short-handed in the strikers position, with only Wayne Rooney, James Wilson and Javier Hernandez left.
The 31-year-old is undergoing the medical in England before he will sign a three-year contract with the option of a fourth year.
Van Persie had a hard 2014/15 campaign, where he struggled for form and fitness throughout the season managing just 10 goals in the Premier League.
The Daily Mail are reporting that Manchester United’s Netherlands striker Robin van Persie, 31, is close to joining Fenerbahce in Turkey after further talks between the clubs. “They have to be happy”, the United forward added. Both players have been signed by new sporting director Giuliano Terraneo.
