Fertility institute shares mom’s picture of baby surrounded by s
“We finally were successful with twin boys and I’ve never been happier!”
That was the case for one new mom named Angela from St. Louis, who posed her precious newborn surrounded by a heart of those syringes to illustrate just how much she was willing to endure to welcome her little one into the world.
The picture posted October. 5 on the Sher Institutes Facebook page shows a baby girl lying on a white backdrop, in the middle of a heart made out of syringes and vials-just a few of the implements that helped her mom, Angela, conceive her during a year and a half of IVF treatments, ABC News reports.
“The needles were the easy part”.
The photo has sparked an outpouring of heartfelt messages from other parents who have conceived through IVF.
In a matter of days, the photo has been shared more than 4,000 times and has been liked more than 11,000 times.
“She said “When I look at this photo, I see a badge like an invisible tattoo that women carry who have been through the process”.
Another mum commented: “Every shot was worth it, expecting in Feb”.
A few women also inject themselves with an additional drug that prevents early ovulation. Most of us would do it again, in order to have a baby. Once the eggs are ready, another injection initiates ovulation.
According to the Sher Institutes, the photograph was sent to them by a patient.
Have you been through IVF treatment?
The decision of an NHS board in Scotland to deny IVF to smokers has been labelled as “scandalous” by a infertility charity. She had tried for a year before two years of IVF.
Women who cut back on their saturated fat intake may have a better chance of having a baby via IVF, suggest researchers from the Harvard School of Public Health. Experts based the estimate on worldwide figures for In-Vitro Fertilisation (IVF) treatment cycles up to 2008. “At 30 weeks I gave birth to triplets”.
