Fetty Wap cited for driving without a license after motorcycle crash
The Trap Queen singer’s black-and-white Suzuki bike was seen on the ground with a shattered front end and pieces of the exterior scattered about the road. Fetty, best known for his smash “Trap Queen”, smashed his dad’s motorcycle into a auto while riding alone on Saturday afternoon.
Fetty Wap was rushed to by paramedics to a local New Jersey hospital but appeared to be conscious and sitting up.
The motorcycle accident occurred just one day the release of his self titled debut album, according to CNN.
A close associate of Fetty Wap, DJ Louie Styles, tweeted photos of the artist while inside the hospital.
Fans of the rapper took to twitter to wish him well, using the hashtag #PrayForFetty.
Per a statement from Wap’s reps: “Fetty Wap was involved in a motorcycle incident earlier today (Sept. 26). I’m proud of Jayden and I appreciate him more than he may know”. His subsequent hit singles were 679 and My Way. So, he said that he did not “really have a story to tell”.
Fetty Wap was allgedly knocked down by a vehicle.
The driver in the vehicle Fetty collided with was also reportedly harmed; however, the severity of their injuries was unknown at the time of publication.
Paterson police chief Jerry Speziale says the rapper was given summons for driving without a licence, driving without insurance and for failing to provide a valid registration card.
An email to Fetty Wap’s management team went unanswered Saturday, so it was not clear whether the accident would affect his upcoming tour dates. “I really appreciate ya’ll for real though”.
