Fetty Wap in Stable Condition Following auto Accident, Cited for Driving

The 25-year-old rapper was reportedly riding his motorcycle through a residential area in Paterson, New Jersey, on Saturday (26Sep15) when he was hit by a vehicle. A source told TMZ Fetty is awake and “doing fine” in the hospital but doctors are running tests.

Fetty Wap, whose real name is Willie Maxwell, was cruising through his hometown on his motorcycle, when he allegedly attempted to pass a vehicle – and didn’t see another one coming, according to TMZ. In the video, Wap thanks fans for their support and revealed that he had broken his leg in three different places after the wreck. The extent of his injuries is not known at this time, but photos at the scene show him lying on the ground, apparently unconscious, so they must have been severe.

The crash remains under investigation. He then collided with another auto that was driving in the opposite direction.

10 year old Jayden Burgos’ mother Brenda Vaden told PEOPLE.com that the youngster, who has worn a prosthetic eye his whole life, thought Fetty was “cool”.
