FIFA bribery case suspect Napout agrees to extradition to US
A further 16 FIFA officials have since been charged as part of the USA investigation into corruption within world football’s governing body, while a BBC investigation has claimed outgoing suspended president Sepp Blatter is the subject of an FBI probe into bribery allegations.
Napout, who is from Paraguay, consented to his extradition at a police hearing on Tuesday, Switzerland’s justice ministry said in a statement. The raids were carried out by Swiss authorities in the context of a US-led investigation, reports said.
CONCACAF has announced that it will remain without a president until its next Congress in May after Alfredo Hawit was arrested in Zurich on corruption charges.

Swiss law mandates that people being extradited must be collected by a USA police escort and taken to the United States within 10 days.
Eight defendants in the case have pleaded guilty, including former CONCACAF president Jeffrey Webb, whose evidence assisted in the latest round of indictments. He faces a assortment of charges referencing to racketeering, wire fraud & cash laundering, & faces a 20-year sentence if convicted.

Napout, from Paraguay, and Hawit, from Honduras, are resisting extradition to the USA while being detained in Zurich-area jails. Numerous guilty pleas occurred in closed-door hearings during November.
