Fight Stormtrooopers on your phone in Google’s Star Wars game
It’s a game that turns your phone into a lightsaber. You’ll be using your phone much like you’d use a Wii controller, while the game’s content is shown on your desktop machine’s big screen. Star Wars: The Force Awakens will release on December 18.
Keeping the computer’s sound on completes the experience of deflecting the Stormtrooper’s shots with your phonesaber.
The Google Chrome extension Force Block, created by Priceless Misc., was specifically created to remove comments and descriptions of the new installment of the space epic from social media.
Inspired by the poster featuring actor John Boyega, who plays Finn in Force Awakens, users can update their profile pic to add a lightsabre.
Lightsaber Escape is the latest Star Wars-themed tool and game to be released at the same time as the film.
If you’re like me, it’s hard to stay focused this close to Christmas anyway, and with the new Star Wars movie out today, I’m more than ready to channel my inner Jedi.
The game appears to be a hit among “Star Wars” fans since the website was “over quota” at one point.
‘Lightsaber Escape’ was created by the company’s Chrome Experiments unit, which aims to produce unique applications for the firm’s web browser, in collaboration with Disney, Lucasfilm and Industrial Light & Magic. You must then calibrate your device before you embark on your adventure.
In true Facebook fashion, the tool is easy to use – one click is all you need to be closer to the Force. Users have to activate the lightsaber using the phone button. Players will initially be located on a Star Destroyer, as they try to escape the First Order, Phone Arena wrote. It takes some time to switch, but once available, users will see a little Star Wars flavour throughout Google’s services.
