Film Fanatic: ‘Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice’ Review
If you had your hopes up for the new “Batman v Superman” movie, you might share the same reaction as Ben Affleck. Fear not, anyone that is concerned about Ben Affleck – he does fine as Bruce Wayne and as Batman, perhaps even offering a darker knight than we have experienced from even Christian Bale of late.
I thought the new Batman suit looked cool and I liked the actor (Ben Affleck) but I didn’t like all his nightmares. DC and Marvel should be careful not copy each other or else you be watching the same movie but with different superheroes which will be boring and stupid.
LOS ANGELES (AP) – Studio estimates say “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” has earned an impressive $27.7 million from its preview screenings. I know, I know, I just could never get into them. The fact that sequel rumors are already swirling several months months ahead of Suicide Squad’s release is a good sign and directly contrasts pre-release reports that Warner Bros. was anxious about how Batman V Superman had turned out. Which, you’d think, isn’t saying a whole lot, but let’s consider what it is Batman v Superman actually had to do: create a setup that opens opportunities for other characters to enter the story.
This scene also featured the first cameo from one of the characters who will be joining the cinematic universe in the future.
The ending (And there are many) is somber, but of course sets up future movies (They’ve just begun filming Justice League) and ultimately, that’s what Warner Bros.is in the business of doing. Cavill is as good a Superman as we will get – and Gal Gadot is impressive and scene-stealing as Wonder Woman (aka Diana Prince).
Be sure to keep an eye out for my in-depth analysis of the movie where I will go into much greater detail of the film’s strengths and weakness, what I liked and disliked, which will, naturally, contain heavy spoilers.
It was gratuitous in many ways and lacking in so many others, and as a result the entire thing leaves you feeling off-balance and wishing for more. “Audiences have to see the movie for themselves”.
“Being an actress, my responsibility is to not pay too much attention to all the noise around me, but to pay attention to the script, to the director, and protect the character”, Gadot told reporters recently. Marvel and the Walt Disney Co. may also have been eyeing the result of “Batman v Superman” with interest.
