Filmmakers Discuss Plans For A Sequel To ‘Star Wars: Rogue One’
“Rogue One: A Star Wars Story” is only a couple of weeks away and the anticipation is continuously building up.
While speaking with Empire Magazine, Kennedy insisted that Rogue One is a one-and-done story, and that there are no plans to make Rogue Two. And watch People Special: Star Wars Rogue One on the new People/Entertainment Weekly Network (PEN).
“Rogue One”, which will hit theaters December 16, is the first stand alone film in the Star Wars saga.

The upcoming film, directed by Gareth Edwards (“Godzilla”), stars Jones as rebellion leader Jyn Erso. Particularly for “Rogue One”, where I was training every day and doing kung fu rehearsals on a daily basis.
But this deal in particular is good for Twitter simply because people love Star Wars. A possibility that a sequel could be made around the heist for the plans for the second Death Star ensues.
“It’s a Star Wars film, you want to go for it, right?” he smiled.
It’s probably safe to say without needing a spoiler alert that not everybody (I’m looking at you, Saw Guerrera) makes it back to the rebel base on Yavin 4.
Felicity Jones (Inferno, The Theory of Everything) leads the cast as Jyn Erso alongside Mads Mikklesen who plays her father, Galen Erso.
Directed by Gareth Edwards and starring Felicity Jones, Diego Luna, Ben Mendelsohn, Forest Whitaker, and Mads Mikkelsen, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story is released in the United Kingdom on December 15 and the U.S. on December 16. This will give the “Star Wars” fans to step outside the main plot line for “Rogue One” and get to know the cast including Luke, Leia, and their family.
