Final Fantasy 7’s Cloud Coming to Super Smash Bros

Cloud Strife, yes that Cloud Strife, is making his way onto Nintendo’s fighting franchise, Super Smash Bros.

Here comes a new challenger.

The Official Super Smash Bros website from Nintendo has since been updated to show details about Cloud for the game.

Cloud Strife brings along his massive Buster Sword, and whirls it around like he’s one of the Fire Emblem characters.

Chocobo costumes for Mii Fighters will also be available to download. He will be a DLC character and feature all of his moves from Final Fantasy VII. This has given Nintendo a new way to keep a game relevant after release, since new characters give players a reason to keep playing. Nintendo Direct in December. No specific date was given regarding the announcement though, so it looks like we’ll just have to wait on Nintendo to tell us when to tune in.

The joining of Final Fantasy VII and Super Smash Bros. has been a dream of many Nintendo fans for a few time.
