‘Final Fantasy XV’ Release Date Confirmed, New Details Unveiled Including Luna
Final Fantasy XV Director, Hajime Tabata, confirmed a 2016 release window for the game.
Square Enix will finally announce the release date for Final Fantasy XV.
Today at a Final Fantasy 15 panel at PAX Prime, developer Square Enix announced a special date. They will discuss features such as fishing and chocobos, as well as provide new information about Luna, the female lead who replaced Stella during the transition from Final Fantasy Versus XIII to Final Fantasy XV. This officially means the game is coming out exactly ten years after it was first announced.
Also announced during the Report was that Square Enix have launched official Japanese and English Twitter accounts for Final Fantasy XV.
No additional release date information was provided at this time. The name of this event and whether it centers exclusively on FFXV or multiple Square Enix titles is unknown at this time. We will have to wait for the announcement until March 2016 though… Since then, Final Fantasy 15 has been renamed to it’s current title, and has shifted through development hell for around a decade. Even so, teasing fans by announcing the release date of a release date is a bit cruel. Back then, the game was planning on being called Final Fantasy Versus 13. Final Fantasy fans have been highly divided over recent titles, feeling that recent games have lost touch with their roots, and moved too far away from the turn-based RPG combat system the games used to center around. Are you excited to know that Final Fantasy 15 will be coming out some time next year?
