Finding Dory Announces More Cast Members, Releases First Image
The insight of the DisneyPixars film was given at the D23 Expo 2015 on Friday, being held at Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim.
The image projected behind Olson, De Generes and Burrell below is undoubtedly showing Destiny – and HOLY SHIT SHE’S SO FKN CUTE.
Ellen Degeneres made an appearance with director Andrew Stanton, who explained that the story was birthed out of the Finding Nemo ending.
Disney is already taking everyone’s money with its many Marvel superhero movies, but now they’re getting ready to line their pockets with more Pixar films.
In Disney•Pixar’s “Finding Dory“, everyone’s favorite forgetful blue tang, Dory (voice of Ellen DeGeneres), encounters an array of new-and old-acquaintances, including a cantankerous octopus named Hank (voice of Ed O’Neill).
But don’t forget, Pixar isn’t slowing down, and on top of releasing two original films this year (a first, and something they highlighted during the panel) they’vge got Finding Dory, the follow-up to Finding Nemo, hitting next Summer. What can she remember?
“In “Finding Dory” she will be reunited with her loved ones, learning a few things about the meaning of family along the way”, Stanton said. The film centers on bunny cop Judy Hopps (“Once Upon a Time’s” Ginnifer Godwin) who heads to the big city to pursue her law enforcement dreams. We’re all dying to know: Just how did she learn how to speak Whale? “I am proudly half-Samoan and half-black”, he said.
It was also interesting to hear that it’s Woody and Buzz “heading out” to find Bo.
“Meanwhile, Pixar and Walt Disney Animation Studios will also show off at Disney D23 Expo some footage of their other upcoming movies such as “The Good Dinosaur”, Zootopia” and “Moana“.
Disney/Pixar ” Finding Dory” will be in theaters June 17, 2016.
We learned today that Moana and The Good Dinosaur both have critical moments in their stories where a mother or father figure dies and sets off a chain of events. Hank (O’Neill) is an octopus who has rehabilitated and is about to be set free in the ocean.
The man is passionate about his work at Disney, there’s no doubt about it. He was pumped throughout the entire 3-hour presentation, but his words during the Toy Story 4 segment were particularly special.
