Fiorina on Trump: ‘There. Is. No. Excuse.’

He’s been dumped. Donald Trump was banned from an important RedState conservative gathering after he took a menstruation jab at Fox News’ Megyn Kelly, who just moderated the GOP presidential candidate debate in Cleveland.

In an interactive timeline showing how each of the candidates trended in Google searches over the course of the two-hour debate, Donald Trump started out the number one trending candidate and ended at the top. Trump’s bombast notwithstanding, his attack on Kelly shows a pathological inability to accept criticism.

Mr Trump joked that he only said that about TV personality Rosie O’Donnell before adding: “I don’t have time for total political correctness”. He was booed for not pledging support to an eventually Republican nominee and doubled down on his threat to run as a third-party candidate.

“His comment was inappropriate”, said Erickson.

Erickson said he initially approached Trump’s campaign about the Kelly statement and that “they wouldn’t deny” it was a reference to menstruation. “According to Time, Newsmax, Drudge Report, The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Hill and many others, Mr. Trump won the debate”.

Even the debate earlier on Thursday evening for seven Republican White House hopefuls, whose lagging poll numbers meant they didn’t qualify for the primetime event, pulled in 6.1 million viewers. “It just was wrong”.

Meanwhile, Trump’s GOP rivals seized on his CNN comments.

Shortly before Erickson’s statement, Trump’s campaign had just put out a media advisory with the schedule for Trump’s appearance. “Intellectually unsurpassed as a broadcast journalist, she has great integrity, and so you know I’m going to stand for Megyn Kelly“, Huckabee told CNN.

Trump’s presence was noticeable to those on the other side of the political aisle, too.

“I think it crossed a line of decency no one running for president should ever cross whether you are a professional or amateur politician”, Erickson said. “I think he’s gotten a little better, but I don’t see him as being the face of the Republican Party”, Nicholas said. “…Frankly, what I say, and oftentimes it’s fun, it’s kidding”.

Sharon Psarianos, a conference-goer from Dallas, said she hoped Fiorina will rise into the top-10-polling candidates to enable her to make the main event at the next GOP debate in September. “The truth is, we’re going to keep doing what we’ve been doing”, she said. I’m very surprised at Fox News that they would do that because, you know, I would say it’s pretty unprofessional.
