Fiorina Says Clinton Wants Beatable Trump As Republican Presidential Nominee
U.S. Democratic presidential candidates clashed over who has been strongest on gun control at a debate on Saturday where a dispute over a campaign data breach intensified the battle between front-runner Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders.
Presidential hopeful Bernie Sanders said in a television interview that the Democratic National Committee deliberately scheduled debates at times when viewership would be low in an effort to “protect” the party’s front-runner, Hillary Clinton.
Many critics, including some of Trump’s Republican rivals, see his positions as playing into the hands of terrorists and raising the risk of radicalizing Muslims.
During the debate, Clinton attacked the GOP in general and Trump in particular.
Rubio said Monday on “Fox and Friends” that Clinton is wrong.
Both Clinton and Sanders spoke about “systemic” racism against people of color and disproportionate application of deadly force, as reported by Newsweek.
But Hillary Clinton, Bernie Sanders and Martin O’Malley all stand up for the rights of a younger America – today’s country – that is less white, more Latino and Asian (and, yes, more Muslim) than was the USA of the past.
Sanders said he recognized that this was a “problem”, and apologized to Clinton on behalf of his campaign.
Saturday, Sanders and the DNC reached a deal, granting his campaign access again to the crucial voter data.
But the main focus on the debate – for Hillary Clinton – was the Republican Party, especially Donald Trump.
“I look forward to working with Secretary Clinton for an investigation, an independent investigation, about all of the breaches that have occurred from day one in this campaign, because I am not convinced that information from our campaign may not have ended up in her campaign”, Sanders emphasized in the debate.
Sanders’ pledge to avoid personal attacks in favor of policy disputes has seemed to frustrate his aides at times, who have occasionally gone on the offensive on their own. This is not the type of campaign that we run.
Clinton rejected the criticism and pointed out that Sanders as a USA senator from Vermont had voted “for regime change with respect to Libya” in 2011. Fifty-six percent of Democrats say they support Clinton, with Sen.
Two experts who closely track ISIS on social media also told ABC News that they have not seen the group using video of Trump to lure recruits.
“It’s one more example of government, Washington, in particular the Democratic Party, is completely out of touch with reality and out of touch with the American people”, the Republican said. But after supporting Clinton in 2008 and looking at their 2016 options, the pair was drawn to Clinton, in part, because they think she can win.
Sanders sought to refocus on his core message of leveling the economic playing field for middle class Americans, including his call for free college tuition and a single-payer health care system.
