Fiorina takes lead in New Hampshire post-debate
“I successfully introduced myself to those who did not know me and demonstrated once again that I am the most qualified candidate on that stage to win this job and to do this job”, Fiorina told NBC News Thursday, less than eight hours after the conclusion of the debate at Ronald Reagan’s presidential library. That’s a long time, no matter how much CNN pushed the Trump narrative. Here’s ABC’s Tom llamas, leading us off. Reporter: With just one sentence, Carly fiorina accomplishing what no candidate has been able to do for months. He said that Margaret Thatcher should replace Alexander Hamilton on the $10 bill, but by today, he was saying, oops, maybe that’s not such a good idea after all.
Trump also slammed Fiorina for “destroying” Hewlett-Packard as CEO of the company, a point he made during the debate which Fiorina denied.
In the videos, Planned Parenthood officials who didn’t know they were being taped discuss how they obtain tissue from aborted fetuses for research, how they decide how much to charge and how it’s possible to alter the procedure to enhance the chances of recovering the organs being sought.
The biggest positive surprise may be Chris Christie.
Throughout the debate, Mrs Fiorina proved the only person to challenge Mr Trump in a significant way. While Trump’s assertive, confrontational approach has confounded some of his rivals, Fiorina has been fearless in taking him on. Hasn’t shown that yet. But the new numbers include just nine percent (9%) who say Fiorina is Very Likely to capture the nomination.
But Trump’s contributions to autism advocacy have won Mayerson’s respect, even if they disagree on the issue.
After Trump called George W. Bush’s administration a “disaster”, Bush defended his brother, telling the billionaire, “He kept us safe.” The audience’s reaction in the room with him was noticeable. Trump has suggested Bush is too soft on America’s immigration crisis because of his wife. As Trump chipped away at the former Florida governor’s vulnerability as the would-beneficiary of a family dynasty, the usually soft-spoken Bush labored to demonstrate a new toughness and aggressiveness that often seemed out of character.
In one of the debate’s standout moments, she delivered a sharp rebuttal to derogatory remarks Trump had made about her appearance, a comment he later tried to walk back.
Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul, who attacked Trump’s temperament during the debate, said voters are getting exhausted of Trump’s “silliness” and “sophomoric kind of jabs”. What goal did those attacks serve?
“I am extraordinarily concerned about the direction of this country, the divisiveness that’s going on, the fiscal irresponsibility, the failure to take a leadership position in the world”, said Republican presidential candidate Ben Carson.
