Firewatch is such a lovely looking game
The highly-anticipated indie darling that is Firewatch finally has a release date.
“We founded Campo Santo in October of 2013 and began working on Firewatch in January of 2014”.
However, it’s not just any development studio – it’s one made up of gaming industry veterans across the board.
Since Firewatch was first announced for PS4 at E3 there has been an bad lot of interest in getting people’s hands and that fire has only been stoked by the long silence surrounding when this game was actually going to get released.
If you need a reminder why this game is important, well, it is being developed by Campo Santo, which was founded by Jake Rodkin and Sean Vanaman, creative leads of Telltale Games’ The Walking Dead.
Contributing art direction is freelance graphic designer, former Studio Ghibli artist and the man behind those Star Wars pictures that everyone loves, Olly Moss.
Campo Santo will reveal more about the game in the lead-up to launch, as well as offering a few sort of early access opportunities – though there are no details about what form that will take at this stage.
Announced via the company’s blog, Firewatch will be released on Windows, Mac and Linux as well as the PS4 on February 9th, 2016.
