First footage of ‘X-Men: Apocalypse,’ ‘Deadpool’ shown

Reynolds is referring to test footage he shot for a “Deadpool” movie which later went viral on YouTube. “[Deadpool] inhabits a space in the comic universe that no one else will inhabit”. As with Deadpool, fans got an second helping. The film will be directed by Blur Films visual effects veteran Tim Miller, written by Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, and produced by Lauren Shuler Donner and X-Men: Days of Future Past screenwriter Simon Kinberg.
