First glimpse of Mulder and Scully in X-Files reboot – Entertainment – NZ
To gear up for the monumental reunion of Mulder and Scully, FOX is planning a mega-marathon showing every episode of the series starting in July and running all the way through January to the premiere of the new event series.
America’s Fox network, which screens the show, has released a trailer encouraging fans to watch an episode a day before the January premiere of the new, six-part mini-series.
Community star Joel McHale has joined the cast as conservative online news anchor Tad O’Malley, who will be an unlikely alley to Mulder.
Along with Gillian and David, Mitch Pileggi will be returning to his role of Walter Skinner while William B Davis is going to be getting mysterious again as the Cigarette Smoking Man also known as Cancer Man. Over the course of its nine-season run, the influential series went from breakout sci-fi favorite to massive global hit, and became one of the most successful television dramas of all time.
Mulder was talking about the deep, dark secrets of the universe, but we’re just referring to brand new X-Files footage hidden at the end of an innocuous re-watch promo!
(Of note: If you want to get the full X-Files experience, the plan does not include the two movies the show spawned.). Post on social using #TheXFiles201Days.
What we don’t know is what sort of character he’ll play.
