First Image of ‘Supergirl’ Star Jenna Dewan-Tatum as Lucy Lane
Joining in a recurring role a few episodes into the series debut this year, Entertainment Weekly revealed the Lucy Lane first look up top, along with details about how the character’s going to fit into the story with Jimmy and Kara.
Meanwhile, following on from the Red Tornado announcement yesterday and hints that the character would have links to General Lane – Lois and Lucy Lane’s father – we now have a face to go with the character! But considering DC’s push to have Lois be her own character, don’t be surprised if she turns up in National City just in time for sweeps. He stressed that they haven’t cast General Lane yet but he will definitely contribute more trouble to “Supergirl’s” adventure.
Sam is the second Lane to be added to the series in recent weeks, as Jenna Dewan Tatum was cast as Lucy Lane a little earlier this year. The community has Lucy because the “humorous” and “brash” youthful sister of Lois Lane, who isn’t slated to seem on this system.
The production is also planning to bring her father in and make Lucy a third wheel in the brewing romance between Kara and James.
Supergirl may be charged with protecting National City from an alien threat, but she won’t be without friends. Regardless of those similarities with her sibling, Lucy is “strong, smart and successful in her own right”.
This is just one of many castings that we expect to see over the course of the coming months even still, mostly because this is a show that requires so many different people to sign on at one point or another to play assorted heroes / villains. “She serves a bigger story drive”. Protected and raised on Earth by her foster family, the Danvers, Kara grew up in the shadow of her foster sister, Alex (Chyler Leigh), and learned to hide the phenomenal powers she shares with her famous cousin in order to keep her identity a secret.
“Supergirl” will premiere at 8:30 p.m. on Monday, October 26, on CBS.
