First look at Supergirl and Superman together

Tyler Hoechlin’s Superman costume looks similar to the design of Supergirl’s, and we see that, similar to the Henry Cavill costume, it’s missing the classic red trunks. He’s a bit of a mystical being in the show.

How wonderful does Tyler Hoechlin look as Superman?!

The CW have released the first official image of Tyler Hoechlin in the Superman suit. Protected and raised on Earth by her foster family, the Danvers, Kara grew up in the shadow of her foster sister, Alex, and learned to hide the phenomenal powers she shares with her famous cousin in order to keep her identity a secret. Twelve-year-old Kara escaped the doomed planet Krypton with her parents’ help at the same time as the infant Kal-El. (Perhaps in an arc similar to Supergirl’s season one team-up with The Flash?) Regardless of just how he fits into the show, based on how well the actor wears the blue and red in this photo (not to mention his steely gaze – he is the Man of Steel, after all), he certainly seems flawless for the part. Hoechlin’s take on the character will show up early on in Season 2.
