First look image released for Taika Waititi’s Thor: Ragnarok
So the fact that Marvel made a decision to shake this up for the third film, Thor: Ragnarok is not surprising. And how do you think the new look might play into the film?
Apart from that, the movie cover also reveals Hela (played by Cate Blanchett), the villain of the film.
Now that we have received our first look, we should expect a first trailer sometime this month or early next month. If you want to see them all, be sure to check out our Thor: Ragnarok photo gallery above! Fingers crossed for a swashbuckling return!
One run by none other than Jeff Goldblum’s The Grandmaster, who is looking particularly fabulous; alongside first looks at Tessa Thompson’s badass Valkyrie and Cate Blanchett’s emo queen Hela, a fitting look for the Goddess of Death.
It seems like Marvel is taking a cue from Guardians of the Galaxy and making this new Thor more light-hearted.
“Shes been locked away for millennia getting more and more cross, and then, with a mistake, she gets unleashed and she aint getting back in that box”, explains the actress who learned Brazilian martial art capoeira for the role.
“Don’t worry. There are also some very high stakes”. She sends Thor to a desolate planet called Sakaar, where he’ll face fresh challenges.
Apart from the apparent absence of Mjolnir from Thor 3, the Marvel film will also be missing Natalie Portman as Jane Foster in the Marvel movie.
Thor: Ragnarok hits cinemas on November 17, 2017.
Just look at that pic of Bruce Banner and Thor! It seems to go along with the whole gladiator motto of “Ragnarok”, and a revision of the Planet Hulk storyline that it will likely be partially based on. Every day, he says they would ask, “Are we pushing it too far?” Benedict Cumberbatch will do a cameo as his Doctor Strange has promised to help Thor find his father.
In photos published by Entertainment Weekly, the 33-year-old sports a modern buzz cut with dark hair instead of Thor’s signature shoulder length blonde locks seen in the previous five films.
“I think tonally, it’s like a slight shift”, he added.
