First ‘Thor: Ragnarok’ Photos Show Off Chris Hemsworth’s New Haircut
On Wednesday, the first look of many characters of Thor: Ragnarok was unveiled by Marvel Studios.
The first poster for Thor: Ragnarok is out and we’re very surprised to see that Thor looks nothing like himself. Look, I’m going to see Thor: Ragnarok either way, I just hope this isn’t too big of a shift in tone for what I really hope is going to be a good movie. Instead, Thor wears his hair closely cropped and wields two swords, a look flawless for his adventures on the planet Sakaar.
Thor’s thing has always been his long, luxurious blonde hair, but the new photos Entertainment Weekly shared from the third installment of the film franchise show Chris Hemsworth with barely any hair at all!
In his exile, Thor is forced to face off a familiar face, The Hulk (Mark Ruffalo).
The EW piece also confirms that yes, Benedict Cumberbatch’s Doctor Strange factors into the plot as he helps Thor on his search for Odin, and the movie will help set up the next film in the MCU, the culminating Avengers: Infinity War.
More information about Thor: Ragnarok should be unveiled throughout the week, so we’ll keep an eye out. But maybe his new weaponry has to do something with him being sent to a new gladiator planet called Saakar during a bout with Hela. We know they’re going to fight. But his costume now has a yellow cape.
When you ask fans to rank the films of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, nearly always Thor and Thor: The Dark World end up near or at the bottom.
And then there’s the film’s main villain Hela (played by Cate Blanchett), who reminds me of the type of girls I crushed on in middle school.
During an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Blanchett opened up about her character and what makes her such a force to be reckoned with. But that’s not all. To the left, we see Cate Blanchett has Hella, the powerful sorcerer, and antagonist of the film. Here’s what Chris Hemsworth had to say about Sakaar below, while also discussing how director Taika Waititi brings a comedic blend to the story. Sir Anthony Hopkins and Idris Elba will reprise their roles along with the top billed cast.
