First trailer for CW Seed’s DC animated series Vixen, release date announced
Arrow and Flash fans won’t have to wait long to see the latest entry in DC’s TV universe – though the newest hero to the lineup will be appearing in a different form. Lead characters from both “Arrow” and “The Flash” will lend their voices to the series too including Stephen Amell, Grant Gustin, Emily Bett Rickards, and Carlos Valdes.
Megalyn Echikunwoke stars in the series as Mari “Vixen” McCabe, a metahuman with the ability to tap into powers from various animals through a mystical amulet.
CW Seed’s Vixen trailer was first unveiled at the DC Superhero Saturday Night Comic-Con panel in Hall H, and is now online on YouTube.
The trailer looks pretty action-packed and awesome – and the animated nature allows the show to go effects-crazy without a budget limit. Vixen will be introduced in the same world as The CW’s hit series The Flash and Arrow (and the upcoming Legends of Tomorrow).
Vixen is set to debut on CW Seed on Tuesday the 25th of August.
Inheriting her family’s Tantu Totem, Mari can access the powers of animals – anything from the super-strength of a gorilla to the speed of a cheetah.
