First Trailer for Horror Thriller ‘The Forest’ Starring Natalie Dormer
Her character, Sarah, has a very intense empathy for her sister, and she has to travel to Japan’s Aokigahara forest, known for being a popular suicide destination. Thousands of people have ended their lives there, making the spooky locale the flawless setting for a horror film.
The first trailer has been released for The Forest, the upcoming supernatural thriller which takes place in Aokigahara, a “suicide forest” at the base of Mt. Fuji. Earlier this year there was Gus Van Sant’s “Sea Of Trees“, starring Matthew McConaughey, which was based on that very subject – a man wanting to die within the borders of these legendary woods. Those ready to take the path will find out when The Forest arrives in theaters January 8th, 2016.
Per the synopsis, “The Forest tells the story of a young American woman who goes in search of her twin sister, who has mysteriously disappeared”. Jason Zada’s The Forest is that movie, and on tap today is the creepy trailer.
The film seems pretty interesting, considering Natalie Dormer’s more thrilling role compared to her appearances in “Game of Thrones” and “The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1″.
