The majority of people (80 percent) who are infected with West Nile virus do not get sick. “We don’t really know why but we’ll be looking at the data and evidence collected”.
Officials also want residents to empty any containers that hold water such as flower pots, as well as keep rain gutters free of debris. In 2015, MS had 38 WNV cases and one death.
