Fla. mom goes missing after sending freakish text to husband

Connie Ditto disappeared Tuesday after texting her husband to say she was going to a clinic because of head pains. What’s puzzling is the fact that after Connie sent out the text informing her husband about the tests, her mobile phone was turned off. While it may be a common protocol in hospitals to ask patients to switch off their electronic devices, she never switched it back on. Enlarge WTVR Connie Ditto, a mother from Henrico, Va., has been missing since Tuesday night after she left a doctor office where she checked in complaining of head pains. “Her vehicle wasn’t in the parking lot or anything”, Mark said.
Connie Ditto, 41, owner of Organic Hair Studio in Henrico County, Va., last spoke to her husband, Mark, around 8 p.m. on August. 11 while she was still at work.
She then took out a protective order against her husband, and told police she was hiding from him because he allegedly assaulted her last week.
However, it seems Connie Ditto never saw a doctor. That doesn’t correlate with the text message Ditto sent her husband.
“I am clueless as to what happened”, he said in a local interview with a Richmond television station.
Ditto said he and his teenage step-daughters, Connie’s biological children, drove to Patient First and then to hospitals looking for Connie. Mark rhetorically asked in his interview with WTVR. They could not find her. On Wednesday morning, Mark filed a missing person’s report.
He noted that Connie had damaged her head during a fall last week and believes she could be suffering from an internal injury. But police informed Mark that although his wife did check into the clinic, she left before her name was called.
As police check credit card reports, Connie’s customers continue to show up at the salon for appointments. Connie Ditto has fought both depression and alcohol abuse in the past.
“It’s not like her not to cancel appointments”, Mark Ditto said. “Connie is described as being a 5’2”, 115 pound Hispanic woman with brown eyes and dark brown hair.
