So far the Sherif ” s office alleges that Mercer might have suffered from mental problems and could have been inspired by previous mass shootings that took place across the US. His crews did what he described as 15-second assessments of the wounded, mainly determining whether they could breathe or be resuscitated, and be “tagged” by the severity of their wounds.
One of those wounded, Chris Mintz, 30, a US Army veteran who served in Iraq, was credited with probably saving lives when he stopped the gunman from entering another classroom before police arrived.
“During the shooting both of his legs were broken and he is going to have to go through a ton of physical therapy”.
