Flash flood watch issued for portions of Va., W.Va.

The National Weather Service has issued the flood watch for Avery, Alexander, Buncombe, Burke, Henderson, McDowell, Mitchell, Polk, Rutherford and Yancey counties. We could pick up INCHES of rain during the morning commute alone!
A flood watch is in effect throughout the region from this evening through Thursday morning, according to the National Weather Service.
Numerous showers and isolated thunderstorms with moderate to heavy rain are expected today and tonight.
