Flight grounded after wing clips fence at JFK Airport
An image made using a passenger features a category of flight terminal workforce standing up beneath the rising wing, that’s ramped up from the fence.
A Virgin Atlantic flight struck a blast fence at John F. Kennedy global Airport in New York Saturday as it was being pushed back from the gate.
A photo shows the right wing of the plane, emblazoned with the British flag, shoved against the wall.
“Noooooo!! They crashed our plane into the blast fence!!”
No one was at suffering in the misfortune, but occupants needed to deplane. Several of the 276 passengers, including supermodel Bella Hadid, tweeted about the incident while stuck on the runway around 8:30 a.m. this morning. “I want to go back to the house!!”
However it will be a “positioning flight” and no passengers will be on board.
Virgin Atlantic spokeswoman Lisette Kwong said a “miscalculation by the tug” caused the incident. She said the plane had returned to the gate and that Virgin is working to get customers on their way.
“Safety is our number one priority and we would like to apologise for the delay and any inconvenience”.
