Florida Sinkhole Opens in Same Spot Where Man Was Swallowed in 2013
This morning, nearby residents in Seffner, Fla., said they heard a loud noise and then discovered the hole, according to local CBS affiliate WTSP-TV.

The hole originally opened below the home where Jeffrey Bush was sleeping in March 2013.
In March 2013, Jeffrey Bush was asleep in his bedroom when the floor collapsed beneath him and he fell inside, ABC News reported at the time. Emergency responders pulled him out, and Jeffery Bush’s body was never recovered. Days later, authorities deemed the property too unsafe to enter and decided to demolish the house.
There were six people at the home when it collapsed, including Jeremy Bush’s wife and his 2-year-old daughter. “I tried my hardest to get you out, bro”.
It is 17 feet wide and 20 feet deep according to Director of Code Enforcement for Hillsborough County Ron Spiller, as quoted by the Associated Press.
State law in Florida requires home insurers to provide coverage against the danger.
Florida is highly prone to sinkholes because there are caverns below ground of limestone, a porous rock that is slowly dissolved by natural acids found in rain. “Not only is it very rare, but here, there was a fatality”.
