Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao Top Forbes Highest Paid Celebrities List

Katy Perry has been named the highest paid female celebrity of the year, beating Taylor Swift to the top spot.
The highest-earning actor on the list is Robert Downey Jr with US$80 million. They are clearly having a great year even though they probably aren’t the celebrities who come to mind when it comes to being highest-paid. Those two stars were Floyd Mayweather Jr. with $300M and Manny Pacquiao with $160M. One Direction is close behind her with $130 million in earnings, though, and Howard Stern wraps up the Top 5 with his $95 million. ($80 million) and soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo ($79.5 million).
The professional boxing match in Las Vegas brought in 4.4 million purchases via pay-per-view and, as CBS MoneyWatch recently reported, helped ring up more than $1 billion for Nevada casinos during the month of May.
The 38-year-old undefeated boxer earned $300 million this year, the highest payday for any athlete.

For the first time, Forbes said the Celebrity 100 list is “truly international” as it had included talent from across the entire entertainment world – from Hollywood to Bollywood – in its ranking.
More than half a million people quickly “liked” Perry’s message about owning her success.
Perhaps most surprising is Katy Perry’s rise to number three on the list.
The Forbes classified the list as those from the world of sports, TV, music and books.
