Floyd Mayweather speaks in-depth on Ronda Rousey’s loss
WITH elements of Rocky Balboa and Apollo Creed, Ronda Rousey found an unexpected ally after Floyd Mayweather Jr. said on Monday (Tuesday, Manila time) that he is willing to help the former UFC champion on her boxing after she suffered her first MMA career loss against Holly Holm.
“I think people can be pretty brutal”.
Ahead of her UFC 193 fight with Holly Holm, Rousey went so far as to endorse Bernie Sanders for president, who couldn’t be further from Trump as a politician.
“Ronda’s been a very dominant champ and she’s taken the sport to new levels”, Holm said. “This fight wouldn’t’ve happened if she hadn’t accomplished what she’s accomplished, so I have a lot of respect for her”, Holm told TMZ.
But it turned out to be a different story for Rousey, who was knocked out by Holm with a perfectly placed head kick in the second round of the fight, which consequently ended her winning streak. Ronda even tried to trash-talk Holm via Instagram, according to US Magazine.
Since the loss, Rousey’s detractors have come out in force but Holm is refusing to be one of them.
Meanwhile, Holm was not the only unlikely person from whom Rousey is getting sympathy from. “That doesn’t mean that I wish any harm on her… that doesn’t mean I wish any hate on her”. The two have been at odds with each other and have been publicly lashing out their disapproval to one another.
“I think that everything is just a learning experience”.
The 28-year-old mixed martial arts champion claimed the Baby star was rude to her 17-year-old sibling after the teenager asked the singer to pose for a photograph with her at the Cannes Film Festival in France.
