Foo Fighters, John Paul Jones, Roger Taylor cover Queen’s ‘Under Pressure’
The Foo Fighters had been performing at the arena when they were joined onstage by none other than Queen’s Roger Taylor and Led Zeppelin’s John Paul Jones.
With Taylor behind the drum kit, and Jones on keyboards, Grohl shared lead vocals with Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins. I don’t know if y’all have ever seen a supergroup. “This is a super-duper group”, said Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl. The star fell during the band’s performance of “Monkey Wrench”, according to the Mirror. At the band’s massive September 5 show in Milton Keynes, England, the Foos brought out a pair of rock legends to jam Queen and David Bowie’s classic collaboration “Under Pressure”.
Freddie Mercury, who was the lead vocalist and songwriter of Queen, died on November 24, 1991. Well look no further, because the Foo Fighters are here to fulfill that need.
Dave Grohl has been playing much of the current tour on a throne after he broke his leg during a show in Sweden and was forced to pull out of headlining Glastonbury Festival early in the summer as a result. Their hits like “Everlong”, “Learn To Fly” and “Monkey Wrench” have secured their position as classics.
