Food Network Chef Sandra Lee Rushed To Hospital
Sandra Lee has reportedly been hospitalized after suffering complications from a recent double mastectomy.
Lee was rushed to the hospital Tuesday night to deal with a buildup of fluids and is expected to be monitored for a couple of days. She was admitted to the hospital around 9:30 p.m. Tuesday. On May 19, she underwent a double mastectomy surgery because doctors described her condition as a “ticking time bomb”, despite only being diagnosed of having cancer in one of her breasts. “And that’s just how fast life turns – it turns on a dime”, she said of the day she learned she had cancer. The report further stated that her condition was not immediately known. “She was just feeling general fatigue and run down”, a friend of the star told the entertainment news outlet. It’s some sort of fluid buildup and pain.
Lee, 49, has kept fans informed about her medical situation via Facebook, writing August 3: “Maintaining a positive attitude and surrounding myself with only good vibes is what helps me get through my appointments and helps me to continue to get stronger!”
The preexisting ailment puts the 49-year-old in danger of developing blood clots, the source said.
“She’s a very upbeat person, but she was definitely thrown by this”, the source said.
The politician remains “very confident” at his partner’s side, reassuring her that “everything is going to work out”.
