For the Clintons, New Hampshire is the state of 2nd chances

Taking a detour from New Hampshires campaign trail, Hillary Clinton said Sunday that a water crisis in a MI city was immoral and demanded that Congress approve $200 million in emergency aid to address the communitys battle with lead-contaminated water.
Sanders’ strength with younger voters only heightens the threat he poses to what was once Clinton’s decisive national lead. She received an exuberant embrace from the church’s mostly black congregation, and her pitch was serious and even subdued compared with the boisterous cadences of the pastor who introduced her.
“Every day the media asks: ‘Your ideas are so ambitious, how are you going to get them done?'” he said.
Now, if she is to close the massive gap between herself and Sanders, Clinton will have to again solidify her support among women, starting with New Hampshire on Tuesday.
Sanders’ campaign dismisses the accusations, calling them an attempt to distract from Clinton’s own weaknesses and softer-than-expected poll numbers. Donald Trump said he doesn’t need to win New Hampshire, but would like to – though he was notably casual in his campaign effort Sunday.
Sen. Amy Klobuchar of Minnesota reminded that same group of “how important this historical moment is for us”.

Bill Clinton lashed out at “sexist” and “profane” attacks on Hillary Clinton and her supporters by proponents of Bernie Sanders, and accused them of harassing those who don’t back the Vermont senator’s campaign or disagree with his policies.
Warren is the only one of the Senate’s 14 Democratic women who hasn’t endorsed Clinton.
“I’m here because for almost two years, mothers and fathers were voicing concerns about the water’s color, about the smell, about the rashes it gave to those who were bathing in it”, Clinton said.
The message that should be repeated endlessly, this strategist argues, is simple: she wants to level the playing field and lift people’s incomes.
Sanders distanced his campaign from such tactics in a Sunday interview on CNN’s “State of the Union”. “We don’t want a candidate for tries to be cool, we want to candidate that cares about what we want in our country and our futures”. When she closed, a woman stood and yelled, “It’s your time Hillary”. Gloria Steinem has been a huge part of the women’s’ rights movement and is an ardent feminist for her entire career.
Sanders has touted his “100% Planned Parenthood voting record”, and likened his grassroots campaign to the struggle for women’s rights. Could this be the beginning of a third storied Clinton comeback in New Hampshire?
At the moment, Hillary Clinton’s weakness is with those working-class voters. “Well that all depends on how you define feminism”. “As I said weeks ago, if what had been happening in Flint had happened in Grosse Point or Bloomfield Hills, I think we all know we would have had a solution yesterday”, Clinton added, referencing two wealthy, largely white Detroit suburbs. “A lot of people say you shouldn’t count it for or against her that she’s a woman, but she’s had it count against her her whole life”.
That’s not unlike the thinking of a young person, full of energy and confidence they can shove aside all those boulders of political resistance and end up changing the world.
