Former 4-Star CB Wesley Green Leaves South Carolina — UNews
Steve Spurrier made headlines a few weeks back when he went on a rant addressing rumors he could be nearing retirement.
On Tuesday, the South Carolina veteran flipped the script on the media and said everything coaches usually don’t: “Quarterbacks?” So jovial, in fact, that he gave reports a tongue-in-cheek look at “the opposite of what a coach this time of year says”. I don’t know if we can beat anybody this year.
– Spurrier says that practice was “so-so” today, was a little bit better yesterday. The quarterbacks, they can’t hit the broad side of a barn right now. College football coaches will tell you how great practice is going, how their team is improving every day, and when you ask about a specific player, you can expect a positive response.
“Receivers – they couldn’t catch a cold if it was the middle of February, dropping everything”. “We all do, but I think I have a realistic chance (to start), as we all do”.
“The kickers? Gee. It’s like the Army: left, right, left, right”. He also said the team didn’t have any leaders, and had had a sorry practice.
Spurdog, for the win – again.
